Let your love show

Let Your Love Show

I heard about a woman who said to her husband one day, "Honey, do you really love me?"

He looked at her strangely and said, "Why would you ask me that? I told you that I loved you the day I married you thirty-five years ago. If it ever changes, I'll let you know."

We've probably all encountered people like that, but the truth is that the phrase "I love you" can never be heard enough in our homes. We can't take for granted that the people we love automatically know it. Maybe you weren't raised in an expressive environment, but why don't you be the one to start a new tradition? You can affect your family line for generations to come by speaking words of love. What better legacy to leave than a legacy of love, kindness and encouragement.

I was discussing the power of encouragement with one of my friends one afternoon, and she said something I thought was right on. She said, "When I brag on my husband, I can see a change in him. He rises to the occasion and strives to go to new levels. But when I nag at him or say nothing at all, he's more complacent and doesn't have the passion and enthusiasm to accomplish what is in his heart."

That's true for all of us. Nagging only makes things worse, but encouraging words will put people on their feet and bring out the best in them. We should always look for opportunities to speak words of blessing over the people around us. When your spouse gets a promotion at work, take time to say, "I knew you could do it! You're amazing!" When your child comes home with good grades, even if they are less than you had hoped, don't be too busy to celebrate. Stop and say, "I am so proud of you. Way to go!" When your mother fixes Sunday dinner for the whole family, tell her, "Mom, I know that's a lot of work, but your hospitality means so much." When your coworker loses fifteen pounds, don't be jealous; congratulate her with a compliment. Let words of life flow freely from your lips. As you sow seeds of love and blessing, always remember that you are displaying the glory of God. He is love, and when we show love, we are showing Him. Let your words and actions say "I love you" because that's how we show the world that we are followers of His.

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35, NIV).

The help advertisement

In parts of our lives, we do put out help wanted ads looking for assistance with the dirty work that comes from our messy hearts.

The advert from our heart may sounds like this

Wanted
Someone to bring hope,
encouragement, and love to a fallen human being.
Hours varies,
with no guarantee of compensation

The content differ from each of us.
Some may need help with depression, while some might need assistance recovering from a broken relationship.

Perhaps someone else needs the support in getting freedom through an addiction.
Whatever it may be, we all long for someone to answer to the "help calls" written by our hearts.

Sometimes someone seems to apply.
A romantic partner comes into our lives, and we believe all of our troubles will go away.
Or
a new job promises a new beginning to our hope for future.

Another glass of whiskey that chases away the sorrows for a while.
But in the end, we realized that whatever we thought would give us help has actually contributed to the hurt.

Fortunately, there is someone who does promise to answer the help wanted adverts we post from our heart.
One, who sees our need and responds.

When I was in the adolescences years of brokenness just 3 years back,
I was longing for a touch, some comfort and a place where I can rest my soul.
Pride held me away from people I newly know,
my newly adopted spiritual family.

Its hard for me to open up to tell them what had happened to me.
The only person I could speak to was God at that time.

I poured out my heart to Him,
I told Him please please show me you love me.

Certainly I was helped,
the coming 2 weeks,
amazingly I received more than 10 hugs each day from people I know and people I do not know.

They just wanted to hug me, encourage me.
each time they hugged me as early as 9am in the morning will fill my eyes with tears.
I started to encounter God's love and helped of encouragements in a tangible way.

None of these people who hugged me know what I was going through,
weird enough they hugged and wept with me.

People who hugged me ranges from students waiting for A levels results to granny kind of age.
I was truly comforted and I know God hears my prayers.
Jesus hugged me with the arms of many many others who has no idea of my cry to God.

I was helped at the very point.
Jesus is still providing such help daily when you ask for Him at your most desperate point.
He helped me, and he will help you too no matter who you are.

The glass slipper

This is love; not that we loved God,
but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins
1John4:10

From time to time as a little girl, we dream of being pursued.
Popular fairy tales reflect this idea.
We all seem to long for someone to seek us out and declare that we are loved.

Surely this desire is planted there by someone who is the ultimate pursuer.
In a believer's life, it is merely the love affair of the heart.
It cannot be lived primarily as a set of principles or ethics.
It cannot be managed with steps and a program.

Our heart is the key.

There is just someone who is willing to reach down to us even before we can even reach up to him.
Others focus on standards of behavior, rules and making sure we are worthy.

But there is someone who doesn't stop pursuing us throughout our life.
Prince Charming may have stopped bringing Cinderella flowers or singing her love songs after the honeymoon.

But there's just a special someone who will continue to love and show us His love everyday though the beauty of the world around us and the blessings He sends.
The comfort in difficult times and a million other ways to show that He loves every single one of us.

He speaks to our hearts more often than we realize.

If there's someone who is willing to go such efforts on our behalf, what does He wants in return?

Well, it is much less complicated.
He just wants to be love us.

When I am quiet and still,
listening to the voice of my True love, I often hear him whispers,
I love you so much.

Copied

I've copied this from a friend.

you got to first find yourself
and learn to love yourself
you got to then find that person
who loves you for who you are
not what you can do, give or offer
not what you can become or try to be
not because you are perfect because you are not
who by loving you perfectly
allows you to just be who you are
loves you for all you are, for all you are not

and you need not fear if that love will falter
if you ever fall short, when you ever fail
because that love is unconditional
because perfect love indeed casts away all fear

but only if you will do likewise, all of the above
then you would have known love & loved
you would have lived life complete
not in what you own, what you do, or who you are
but in love, life is made complete

One day I know, that someone, somewhere, made perfectly just for me,
with love and with faith.

The walk of happiness

I was at the poolside when this jumps onto me: Generations come and go but it makes no difference. The sun rises and sets and hurries around to rise again.

It seems like many things and events in life are futile. Things are never new, I am not implying in technology or some medical breakthroughs, I am just merely speaking upon human relationships in the pursuit of happiness in our lives.

I've never understand this meaning of happiness until I met "happiness" itself who is God. For certain reasons in which I cannot even give a rightful explaination of how such happiness comes by. Such joy from the Lord even when I am in a difficult financial situation of stretch.

Taking finances aside, I mean finances are important but they are not the most important of things in my life. Money come and money go, money spent in a wise manner determines financial well planned. Money can be calculation, budgeted and forecast in some sense, what I feel which is more important is things we cannot measure, touch, calculate or forecast.

1. Situations
2. People
3. Feeling and emotions

Life's experiences are not always happy. But the world tells us to demand happiness, do all we can to attain it. Making personal satisfaction as our chief goal. In writing this part of my own life, I discovered that wealth, power, position, wives, husbands, girl friends or boyfriends and accomplishments can have the power to create a temporary getaway of happiness but it is never lasting. Meaning, you can have everything in life yet you are not happy.

Happiness is an elusive goal because people and circumstances change quickly, something quicker than what we can imagine. Sudden emotions, heartaches, lost of money, love ones just to mention a few.

True and lasting happiness, however comes only from pleasing and obeying a certain direction and will in life. Which I call Him God. Thus happiness cannot be achieved, somehow or rather in life, you will get disappointed or let down by something, some people, somehow, you just feel unjustified of what you received.

I look at a few people in my life of how can they live such a beautiful joyous life. Other people might think that they are kind of pathetic, but from the kind of joy they give out, just one word or describe Brilliant !!

They just sparkles like diamond 20 carats in whole.

No matter how blessed we can be, up to a certain degree we arnt satisfied. To what degree can we live in total happiness, where no matter what hardship and storms that try to wreck our lives, we flip it and changes it into happiness instead?

The answer is happiness cannot be achieved; it can only be received. It can be recieve only through a right and strong relationship with God.

Question here, do u think God will worry about tomorrow? Frankly I dont think so, God is never worried. It is not his nature.

Therefore when we have a strong relationship with God, our worries turn lesser. We start to adapt to his nature residing in a sleeping corner in our heart. Remember he blow his breath into the dust he made from earth and human came into life. Every single one has the ability to ignite this breath of God in us, whether you are a christian or not. This breath determines our destiny and wakes up the giant sleeping in each of us.

For reassuringly, many times, we do not know what is the best for us, we do not love ourselves enough, that is the reason we keep falling into that shit hole, loving someone you thought you love, which the fact, maybe you do not or hurting someone who loves you more than yourself. Love is really profound, until you met Jesus Christ in a personal encounter, you then realised that to love, is to be like Jesus Christ. That is the selfless love.

Well the day I said a certain thing, " Break me God, so I'll be like Jesus Christ, break my heart for what breaks yours Jesus "  Testings came immediately, God took the most important thing in my life away. Totally and immediately. I was somehow forced to obey and choosed love. Broken till the max, shag till the brim, no hope, no vision, no life, poor health, I was left with nothing, I just dazed. My mind blanked out, but His love comforted me, and gave me His vision.

Truly till today I've walked, I've never regret asking God to break me. He shaped me, not only He shaped me, He shaped the man I gave up into God's hands. Many years from now, even thou we are not together, the kind of love Luoyi and myself has individually really got tested and grew stronger, clearer, and in a better direction. I realised when God break and shaped me, I committed my love into God's hands to shape the love in both of us as well. It was a difficult walk throughout the 5 years, and especially intensive for the both of us in the previous 2 years.

Even for parents, their love for their kids sometimes ended up hurting their kids. For daddies and mummies whom you thought you love your kids by doing alot for them and neglected them by not giving them time to spend with you.

For those who love yourself so selfishly, you shoot the arrow back at yourself too, as you will turn futile living in you and your own world of narcissism with me myself and I. Which is self illusion and end up with the whole world against you.

So do we really know what is good for ourselves? Until you have a right relationship with God our Father, then you will know what is best for you in obeying Him. For He is the one who really knows us and prepares the best for us. If you are chasing happiness, you will never find it, if you are seeking God, you will find everlasting joy.

Those were my takeaway from reading what king Solomon had written in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Touched

In ancient times, leprosy was one of the worst diseases you could ever imagine. it ravaged the skin and caused permanent damage or even death.
Therefore those people with leprosy were considered unclean and forced to live apart from everyone else, isolated.
Being alone and untouchable, a leper lived with constant loneliness and pain.

This kind of disease is no longer common in today's living for cure are available, but still,
in the now era, we can still relate to the leper's feeling of being unwanted, unworthy and unaccepted.

If leprosy in the bible is also intended to represent the ugliness of sin or loss,
every single one of us is affected.

There maybe certain areas in our lives in which we don't feel accepted.
A crisis, failure or temptation may come into our lives by choice or situations causing us to be in defeat and unworthy.

Before we know it, our hearts were being torn apart, relationship starts to shattered, dreams being torn apart.

And others keep their distance from us.
They do not know what to say or do.
Then we in return withdraw and nurse our wounds silently.
We may think they're better off without me.

Yet somewhere deep inside us a longing remains.
It is the first desire we could ever felt.
As newborns, we arrived the world craving for the touch of another human being.
Only touch can secure us.
We yearn for a touch to our hearts that says,
"I see you as you are, and I choose to enter the messiness of your life. I love you enough to reach out to you, You are worth it."

I remember in the bible in Matthew or somewhere, a leper says to Jesus,
Lord if you are willing, can you make me clean?

Jesus didn't said anything, he just reach out his hands and touch the leper.
Being isolated for many years, probably someone is just longing for a touch.

I believe today,
Jesus still stretches out his hands and lays them on the messy, broken places of our hearts.
It was his touch that set me free and love for me.

.

Those scars on your heart,

those sins and stains you hide,

they are not enough to keep Him away from you.

The One who washes your feet

washes your wounds too.

Can you feel His touch?

Its full of love and gentleness.

Healing what hurts,
mending what's broken.

He reaches out to you,
holds you and keeps you in His care.

Can you feel His touch?
It's always there.

We're all a little weird,
and life is a little weird,
and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours,
we join up with them and falls into a mutual weirdness
and calls it love

Love and vows

What makes a love vow different from a marriage certificate?
A vow is different from a contract,
a contract has its terms and conditions while a vow doesn't have them.
A contract is null once a party breached the clauses and conditions to it,
but a vow supersedes all.

Vows don't just come by out of nothing,
it is birth out of love.

Some said: True love has got no happy ending but I say, True love has got no ending,
true love can go on and on even when one party left for eternal.

I love through a vow made out of love.
Conditions doesn't make this vow null,
its a vow that hold me through my life which is call true love.

Dior Homme

I have a liking for Dior Homme since the first time I visited Japan many years back.
Those were the days when Neighborhood Jeans were kinda hot back then "label being franchised by Edison Chen before the scandal photos sagas.

Before I switched my attention to Dior Homme series.
Vic and myself will be so crazy over Dior Homme series,
I mean, I cant wear them of course thou I like them,
my ex boyfriends were the happiest I guess,

Dior Homme is not available in Singapore until Dior opened its first men boutique in Orchard ION.

They are famous for their suit in-cut skinny collars which connects beautifully when buttoned. The sleek cutting of the suit its really beautiful with an additional in-lining, you wont really feel that warm in a suit like this.

Their suit is selling at around $5000, which is really an enormous price.
But well, for guys who really love such cutting, just get a good tailor and tailor-made it

Sometimes

Sometimes

Sometimes it seems as if silence is heaven's only answer.
But lean close enough i to this silence and you will hear a heartbeat within it.
 Love.... Love.... Love...
This rhythm isn't always a yes to what we want or
what we may think we need
but its a yes to His ways and His plans,
so much higher than ours.
And Yes to who we are,
 to our relationship with Him,
to whats forever best.
You are heard and loved.
You are held close in the arms of One who listens,
even in the silence to every word.

valuable

Valuable

We step on scales
Compare ourselves to others
Try to measure up
We all just want to know "What am I worth?"
The heart of heaven declares
That answer is infinite
Beyond our ways
 More than we can know
Because our worth doesn't come from what we do
But to whom we belong to
And you are his treasure
 Loved beyond measure.
